Fez, Morocco — Since 1974

Tiles cut by hand,
light held by clay.

Every Zellige tile we ship is shaped with a chisel, glazed with mineral oxides and fired in a wood kiln. No two are identical — that is precisely the point.

Why Choose Us

Six reasons designers come back.

Kiln-Fired Authenticity

Wood-fired in Fez using clay from the same quarries used for six centuries. Nothing is machine-pressed.

Worldwide Delivery

Crated, insured and shipped to 38 countries. Customs paperwork handled by our export desk.

Trade Pricing

Dedicated tiers for architects, designers and contractors, with sample boxes at cost.

Bespoke Colourways

Match a Pantone, a fabric or a stone. Custom glazes developed in eight to ten weeks.

Installation Support

Setting drawings, layout guidance and a named contact from first sample to final grout.

Batch Consistency

Every order is dry-laid and photographed in the atelier before it is crated and sealed.

The Craft

Nine hands touch
every square metre.

From the clay pit to the crate, a single square metre of Zellige passes through nine pairs of hands over roughly three weeks. It is slow, deliberate and entirely uneconomical — which is why almost nobody still does it properly.

  • Grey Fez clay, kneaded by foot and rested for four days.
  • Hand-formed, sun-dried, then wood-fired at 900°C.
  • Dipped in mineral oxide glaze and fired a second time.
  • Chiselled face-down with a menqach into the final shape.

Testimonials

What our clients say.

“The emerald bejmat transformed the spa. Six months on, guests still photograph the walls before they photograph the pool.”

Claire DevereuxDesign Director, Maison Lumière — Paris

“Colour consistency across 480 square metres, delivered on schedule to a Dubai site. That is not a small thing.”

Omar HaddadPrincipal Architect, HDD Studio — Dubai

“They developed a custom glaze to match a client's 1930s bathroom. Nine weeks later it was indistinguishable from the original.”

Sarah WhitfieldInterior Designer — London

“The only supplier we use for zellige. Honest lead times, immaculate crating, and the tile itself is simply better.”
